Standing Up For Your Rights

Self-advocacy, or actively doing something in your own best interest, is important for getting quality cancer care. Standing up for your rights helps you:

  • Feel more in control of your life
  • Build confidence to face challenges that seem too difficult to overcome
  • Reach out to others, such as asking to talk to someone who is in a similar situation

Brush up on your skills by listening to the Cancer Survival Toolbox module on Standing Up For Your Rights.
