NCCS will once again participate in Breakaway from Cancer activities at the Amgen Tour of California, one of the largest Tour de France-style cycling road races in the country. The tour will take place from May 15-22 and at every stage of the tour, NCCS staff will be on the ground sharing information and resources about our organization. Additionally, NCCS Board Member Ysabel Duron will participate in the Breakaway Mile event on May 17th at the third stage of the tour in Modesto to help recognize a local cancer survivor. Ysabel will also participate in the Breakaway Mile walk along with 150 other cancer survivors and their supporters.
You can tune in to your local VERSUS channel to watch coverage of the tour. Coverage will start Saturday, May 14th at 5:00 pm ET and continues through May 22nd from 5:00-7:00 pm ET.
