Cancer Policy Roundtable

The Cancer Policy Roundtable is a biannual cancer care policy forum that brings together representatives from the patient community including advocates, researchers, clinicians, representatives from the academic community and a diverse group of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies and policymakers to discuss current and emerging issues that influence cancer research, development of new cancer therapies, and the delivery of quality cancer care. In this way key cancer community stakeholders gain insight and understanding of each other’s perspectives on key issues.

The faculty that present at the Cancer Policy Roundtable range from public policy lawyers and physicians to representatives from the National Institutes of Health, Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Health Policy Advisors to US Congresspersons, leaders of the health insurance industry, pharmaceutical industry leaders and representatives from the biotechnology industries.

These meetings are a great opportunity for interested parties to come together and discuss timely and compelling issues.  Specific objectives and outcomes are unique to each meeting, however past meetings have focused on topics such as clinical trials, expanded access programs, Medicare reimbursement, healthcare reform and other relevant and timely topics.
