NCCS Announces New Senior Director of Development

-

Washington, D.C. — The National Coalition for Cancer Survivorship (NCCS) announced that Bheesham Sethi has joined the organization as its new Senior Director of Development.

In his new role, Sethi will work with NCCS leadership to expand the organization’s development strategy, including the establishment of a major donor program, planned giving programs and annual fund.  He will also oversee special events such as the annual Rays of Hope® Awards Gala.

“We are very pleased and fortunate to have Bheesham join our team,” said Ellen Stovall, NCCS President and CEO.  “We know that Bheesham’s extensive experience and expertise in building relationships will play a significant role in NCCS’s continued growth and expand our ability to advocate for quality cancer care for all Americans.

Prior to joining NCCS, Sethi was vice president of development at the Silicon Valley Community Foundation in Mountain View, Calif., where he managed all activities related to the analysis, planning, execution and evaluation of fundraising.  He has more than 16 years of experience in senior development positions at regional and national issue-based non-profits including Common Sense Media; the National Environmental Trust; Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG); Rebuilding Together, Inc.; the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF); and WAMU 88.5, one of the nation’s largest public radio stations.

“The NCCS mission to advocate for quality care for people with all types of cancer is unique, and I am excited about the opportunity to serve in a capacity that has the potential to impact millions of lives,” Sethi said.
