Alexander Nazaryan writes about “World War Cancer” in The New Yorker.  Nazaryan’s blog post is a review of a forthcoming book by Clifton Leaf, “The Truth in Small Doses: Why We’re Losing the War on Cancer,”  but it also references several recent articles that assess progress in the war on cancer.  Nazaryan offers an honest and sobering evaluation of the status of cancer research and care.
