Getting Quality Care

One of NCCS's overriding goals is to ensure that every person with cancer gets quality care.  Among other things, we believe that should include clear communication between you and your doctors, partnership in decision-making, access to excellent medical treatment and attention to the many issues that come with a cancer diagnosis, such as emotional well-being and care planning.  As we saw in The Truth About Cancer, cancer survivors and their families may have different views about the quality of the treatment received.
