Cancer Advocate Spotlight

The cancer advocate spotlight section is where we shine the light on survivors who are making a difference. Survivors featured in the cancer advocate spotlight have advocated for their own care or for the care of others. It’s easier than you think to be an advocate; all you have to do is speak up. To advocate is to push for something – like better quality care. Whether you’ve given testimony on Capitol Hill or simply asked your doctor for more information, congratulations: You’re an advocate!

We want to hear from you! Tell us what you did to advocate for yourself and others. Did you call your Congressional representative or Senator? Did you bring Cancer Survival Toolboxes to your local cancer clinic or participate in a fundraiser? Did you mentor a fellow survivor? Share your advocacy story, or that of a loved one, and we might just feature it in our next Cancer Advocate Spotlight! Share your story to be featured in our advocate spotlight section. Once on the page, select "advocacy" from the dropdown menu.

"This treatment summary and plan is concise and easy. It’s like having someone go through my medical record and extract all the most pertinent information and translate it into an easily readable packet."
