The Toolbox is Celebrating 10 Years!

Cancerversary FAQ

NCCS is marking an important milestone – the 10th anniversary of our Cancer Survival Toolbox®!

The Toolbox is an award-winning, self-learning audio program created by leading cancer organizations to help people develop essential skills to meet the challenges of their illness.

Designed to help people from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond, this program has evolved to include topics that can assist anyone who is facing hard decisions and changes in life due to cancer at any stage of their journey. Family members and caregivers can also use the Toolbox to help them advocate on behalf of someone else who is diagnosed with cancer

The program contains a set of basic skills to help navigate a diagnosis and special topics on key issues faced by people with cancer.

Do you have the tools you need to help yourself or your loved one navigate their cancer experience?

Cancer is complicated. In addition to the physical toll it takes, cancer makes a significant emotional, social, spiritual, and economic impact on a person and those close to them.

NCCS develops programs and resources to inform and empower people dealing with a cancer diagnosis so they can actively and effectively participate in their own care.
