Breakaway from Cancer®

Amgen’s generous support of the Breakaway from Cancer® initiative makes it possible for NCCS to do the following:

  • Bring together cancer survivors and caregivers in NCCS’s online Cancerversary community
  • Develop, produce and distribute resources that educate cancer survivors about cancer care planning
  • Increase distribution of the Cancer Survival Toolbox®, including outreach to hard-to-reach populations
  • Update and revise NCCS’s free publications that address issues ranging from navigating health insurance to maintaining hope throughout a cancer experience

Join NCCS in the 2010 Breakaway from Cancer® initiative and Amgen Tour of California!  NCCS is partnering with Amgen and several leading cancer organizations to empower and support cancer survivors and caregivers.

Amgen Tour of California

The 2010 Amgen Tour of California will travel to 16 host cities throughout the state over the course of eight days from May 16-23. After four years of being positioned in February, the date change will allow the Tour de France-style road race to visit locations that wouldn't have been possible in February, including the very first mountain-top finish in race history.
